Biography

'Naviyah' is a Non Explicit British South London based Rapper, Singer/Songwriter with a unique diverse sound of Hip-Hop, Rap and Pop, with a passion to spread a positive message through her music, where she strongly expresses her Christian faith and her life journey

​

Naviyah has followed in the footsteps of her parents who were also involved in the Music industry. Her father was a top record producer and engineer based in the UK, who worked with the likes of Liberty X, Blue, Mis-Teeq, S Club 7, So Solid Crew, Alexandra Burke, Big Brovaz, Damage, Des'ree, and Leona Lewis

Releases

​​Naviyah released her first EP entitled 'Change' in July 2018, and is constantly told by many, that she sounds like a female version of 'Giggs', with her deep urban, gritty rap sound, and has also been compared to UK artist 'Tinie Tempah' on her track entitled 'Sippin On Dat'

Following her success from her EP entitled ‘Change’ in 2018, Naviyah released her single ‘Birthday Drink’ in October 2020, this track has more of a commercial sound, expertly mixing rap/hip-hop with a pop sensibility together with her positive lyrics to encourage young people to drink alcohol in moderation

Radio

Carefully written and sang in such a creative and enjoyable way for listeners,‘Birthday Drink’ has gained attention from (94.9 FM) BBC Radio London Presenter ‘Jasmine Dotiwala’, featured on ‘The BBC Introducing Mixtape’, and handpicked, aired on BBC 6 Music by Radio Presenter 'Tom Robinson’
 

Following this, 'Birthday Drink' was also play-listed on the ‘Mikill Pane & Marcel Somerville' Show on FUBAR Radio and has gained a bit of a buzz internationally in Japan, United States, Canada, Australia and Germany

Naviyah has been interviewed live and her songs played on several US Radio stations, eg Canada, Atlanta Georgia and Chicago. As well as some UK radio stations, eg UK's Premier Gospel Radio, Reprezent Radio (107.3 FM), BBC Radio (94.9 FM), Pulse 88 Radio (88.0FM) Mystic Radio 98.1 FM, Choice FM (Capital XTRA), Hope FM 90.1 FM and BBC 6 Music

Naviyah has performed at several venues such as The O2 Academy Islington, Libertine by China Whites, Fu Manchu Bar, The Lighthouse Bar & Club, Opium London, Bar 512, Wolverhampton Civic Hall, The Vibe Gallery, The Bridge Academy, Queen Mary's University, South West Fest, Notting Hill Carnival, Floripa, (Emmanuel Evangelical Church (EEC) and more

With her passion to be a positive role model for the youth of today, Naviyah has taken part in several secondary school music workshops to provide motivational talks and live performances with a view to encourage young people to recognize their talents, have a positive mindset and strive to achieve their goals, in whichever career path that they wish to pursue. Some of the schools that Naviyah has attended are Copeland Community School, Quintin Kynaston School, Pimlico Academy, ARK Academy School, Newman Catholic College and others
